She played a younger wedding bride to a middle-aged actor (Shah Rukh Khan) in the film. The film was hit on the box office and was the second-highest-grossing movie of 2008. Anushka performed alongside Shahid Kapoor, Vir Das as well as Meiyang Chang in the 2010 film "Badmash Company". The movie received mixed critiques.
